An Academy Designed for Real Life.

When asked to define EIVSOM Psychosocial, Dr. Robert Graves keeps it refreshingly clear: “It’s an organization to support through psychosocial learning—education, training, and support.” At its heart, EIVSOM is not a clinic or a short-term program, but a school for adults with what Dr. Graves calls “non-normative mental conditions”—a deliberate reframing that moves away from labels and toward lived human experience. Designed for mature students, the school operates as a flexible learning environment where individuals can arrive when it suits them and engage in personalized learning that respects both autonomy and dignity.

The structure of EIVSOM reflects this philosophy. Learning happens Monday through Thursday, with Fridays reserved for something often overlooked in traditional education: life itself. As Dr. Graves explains, Friday is for “using what they’re learning in society, in their existence.” The program is supported by three interconnected pathways—education, training, and support—delivered by teachers, coaches, and counselors working together. From academic subjects like psychology and philosophy, to vocational training and employment readiness, the aim is not just knowledge acquisition, but practical, meaningful integration into daily life.

Perhaps most powerfully, EIVSOM is built around purpose and belonging. The support pathway exists so people have “somewhere to come, where they will be supported… to have a contented life.” This is learning as community, education as empowerment, and structure as an invitation—not an obligation. EIVSOM Psychosocial offers more than a curriculum; it offers a reason to get up in the morning, contribute, and be part of something that understands that growth doesn’t stop at adulthood—it finally gets personal.
